Spring is here!
Spring is finally here and I could not be happier! I was beginning
to think that this season would never come and I would have enter what seems to
feel like the tundra every morning. It sounds like I really hate winter,
however, I love it when it snows (except not every day) and I think snow makes
my surroundings look beautiful. I have had enough and am relieved that it is
finally gone since I do not have to worry about constant snowstorms, icy roads,
and missing class when there is still an excessive amount of work to complete.
Once in a while it is nice to have a snow day where I can stay in bed
all day, watch movies, and relax without having anything to worry about. This
is also fortunate since I still get paid for working a full day, so that is a
bonus as well!
For the most part, I do not enjoy the fact that I have to layer up
my clothing, and I cannot remember a time when we had this much snow and got to
the point where it was frustrating. Some days I just did not know what to
except because the weathermen have been completely off! There is also the part
where I am not the best driver in the world so getting behind the wheel is
something I am definitely fearful of. Extra time is needed in my morning
routine because I have to warm up my car and clean it off.
I have always loved the warmth and I am glad that this snow is
finally melting. There are positives and negatives for me when it comes to cold
weather, but in the end, I would much rather be laying on a beach than feeling
like I am in Alaska. I cannot wait until it gets warm enough for me to
officially put on my summer clothes, but all I have to say is goodbye winter!

An Unforgettable Day
On March 18, 2015, a little miracle
was welcomed into the world. After my boyfriend and I rushed over to the
hospital in the city to see his sister, we waited very patient for the baby to
arrive. There had been so much anticipation for this moment to come, and it was
unreal. Surprisingly, the family was not waiting for a long period of time. We
were all sitting down and devouring sandwiches when all of a sudden we all
heard …“it’s a girl!” Everyone got up and hugged one another in complete
happiness. The due date was actually March 30, but Christina delivered early,
but was admitted to the hospital in the middle of the night.
We
were all shocked it was a girl because we all attempted to guess the gender of
the baby and most people said it would be a boy, including me. Isabella Mesi
was the cutest little baby I have ever seen! She looked so healthy and alert,
and I could not wait to hold her. Once I did, I was so overwhelmed with joy and
held back my tears. She is a precious newborn baby that is loved by so many
people, and I cannot wait to have my own baby someday. This experience was
something that will be impossible to forget and seeing everyone’s reactions was
the best. Isabella is one lucky baby and I am excited to see her again really
soon!

The Last Game
Ice hockey? Ehh... I'm not really a fan, nor do I enjoy watching it. Saturday would be my little sisters last home game so I decided to go and support her. She was determined to win and defeat the Brewster Bulldogs. Any time I would go to a game, I would get cold, but this time I came prepared and wore tons of clothes. Although I think I will never become familiar with the terminology of the game, I enjoyed this one, as it meant so much to everyone.
In he beginning of the game, my sister’s team, the Gulls, scored right away. After that, they seemed rather slow and no one understood why they were skating so poorly. All of a sudden the Bulldogs scored a goal and they were tied! Then as the game came closer to an end, the Bulldogs scored again but for the wrong team and everyone was shocked! The Gulls scored one last goal after all their hard work and won the game! The audience was cheering and I was proud of my sister. She did an amazing job and did he best she could. From this point, I can see myself getting more involved in her games!

Valentine's Day
Over two years ago, I received the most unexpected surprise. It was another day working at the yoga studio and I thought nothing of it. I greeted everyone as normal-friendly, kind, and had a sense of humor with everyone I knew. I was always told I worked hard at whatever I did, and my job was my main priority.
I can vividly remember the man who walked through the doors that I am now happy to call my boyfriend. As we began talking, he started to ask me questions and I must admit I was mumbling my words and was nervous. He completely caught me off guard, but as weeks passed I started dating him.
Lawrence and I have been dating for two years and our anniversary is actually on Valentine's Day, maybe because of the fact that I love chocolate so much...who knows. Lawrence was living in the city at the time and recently purchased a home close to mine, which is beneficial for me due to where I live. I have had boyfriends in the past, but none that compare to him. Lawrence is the most passionate and loving person I've ever met and has the same personality as me. We have been told we are completely perfect for each other, but I'll specifically remember the day I met him. If I never worked that day, we would have never met and maybe I would never see him. I am definitely the happiest I have been in my life and I wouldn't change anything in the world.
Vocabulary
Unexpected (adj.) Occurring without warning.
Vividly (adj.) To present something in a clear manner.
Mumbling (v.) To speak in a low and indistinct manner.
Beneficial (adj.) To receive an advantage.
Passionate (adj.) Showing, or expressing strong emotions
Personality (n.) Ways of behaving that make a person different from other people.

Weekend Getaway
The calming breeze of the ocean waves and the sun beating down on my face is definitely my definition of peace. Due to the fact that I am not a person that enjoys the cold
weather in any circumstance, planning a trip to Florida was the greatest thing
I could possibly imagine.
I love the sunshine, relaxing, and it was a perfect
excuse to go on a vacation. Although this was a long weekend I felt as though
it was not long enough, however it was still enjoyable. Boarding the plane on a
chilly early morning I knew I would not miss New York whatsoever. Shortly
arriving in Naples, Florida, I knew I was right.
There was so much time I had
to spend time with my boyfriend and we loved being in an environment
that was carefree. Most nights, my boyfriend and I went to dinner and spent our
days by the pool or at the beach. I would not mind moving there at all, but I know my whole life is in New York. Until the next chance I get, I will visiting Florida again.
